Health care high noon: Obama in Ohio

Update 10:38AM: President Obama has concluded his remarks. Towards the end of his speech, he departed from the prepared text, riffing off a shout from the crowd exhorting members of Congress — including Dennis Kucinich, in whose district this event was held — to show the “courage” to do the right thing and pass health care reform. This debate, President Obama said, was ultimately about what kind of country do we want to live in, and it’s now up to Congress to declare that we want to live in a country where people will not suffer — and even die — for lack of health care insurance. With this vote, Congress can put an end to that, and if for no other reason, that will make health care reform quite an achievement.

Update 10:15AM: Surprise, surprise — Fox News is covering Lady Gaga’s latest YouTube music video instead of President Obama’s speech. Now that’s fair and balanced, eh?
